متن کاملLinear and Nonlinear Controllability through Invariant Subspaces
This paper has the following aims: (i) to provide dynamical interpretations of the rank conditions for controllability and stabilizabil-ity of linear control systems and try to understand what they mean geometrically; (ii) to re-visit the theory of canonical forms from an algebraic viewpoint; (iii) to give some reened genericity results on controllable pairs; (iv) to make precise the way in whi...
متن کاملA linear k-fold Cheeger inequality
Abstract. Given an undirected graph G, the classical Cheeger constant, hG, measures the optimal partition of the vertices into 2 parts with relatively few edges between them based upon the sizes of the parts. The wellknown Cheeger’s inequality states that 2λ1 ≤ hG ≤ √ 2λ1 where λ1 is the minimum nontrivial eigenvalue of the normalized Laplacian matrix. Recent work has generalized the concept of...
متن کاملClassification of Monogenic Invariant Subspaces and Uniparametric Linear Control Systems
The classification of the invariant subspaces of an endomorphism has been an open problem for a long time, and it is a ”wild” problem in the general case. Here we obtain a full classification for the monogenic ones. Some applications are derived: in particular, canonical forms for uniparametric linear control systems, non necessarily controllable, with regard to linear changes of state variable...
متن کاملInvariant Subspaces, Quasi-invariant Subspaces, and Hankel Operators
In this paper, using the theory of Hilbert modules we study invariant subspaces of the Bergman spaces on bounded symmetric domains and quasi-invariant sub-spaces of the Segal–Bargmann spaces. We completely characterize small Hankel operators with finite rank on these spaces.
